How do we get cat owners to pour Purina One Cat into the bowl?

It all starts with an important insight: In collaboration with Amazon, we discovered that cat owners in Sweden are 30% more active on Twitch than the average consumer. An insight that surprised us so much, we had to take action on it. It also turned out that a full 18% of Swedish Twitch users expressed interest in buying 'pet food' on e-retail platforms.

Challenge

How do we get cat owners to pour Purina One Cat into the bowl when their four-legged friends need feeding?

Solution

This insight led us to the idea of a collaboration between Twitch and the e-commerce store Vetzoo, allowing Purina's One Cat product to be sold directly to Swedish cat owners. This became the driving force behind our strategy—to capture attention on Twitch and redirect the cat-loving streamer directly to Vetzoo.se, where the purchase could be made.

Results

A brand lift study confirmed our success—a 27% increase in Top of Mind awareness, along with significant boosts in brand liking and purchase intent. Additionally, the campaign achieved an index of 135 in sales for the period. In other words, a campaign that had both cats and Purina purring with satisfaction.
